Paul is an experienced technical designer with over 25 yearsin private practice, specialising in the technical delivery of public andprivate housing projects. He has led design teams through all project stages,from concept to post-occupancy review, with a strong focus on technicaldetailing, construction methodologies, and compliance with regulatory standardssuch as Part L and NZEB requirements. His experience includes major AwardingOrganisation Certified Passive House Designer MOSART Building Energy RatingAssessor Diploma in Architectural Technology Sustainable Energy Authority ofIreland 2008 residential developments, such as leading the technicalcoordination for a 753-home Strategic Housing Development (SHD) in Cork, whichis currently under construction with 150 units set for delivery in 2025. Paulhas provided expert technical guidance to modular home manufacturers in Irelandand the UK, ensuring best practices in energy efficiency and compliance. Acertified Passive Haus designer and early DEAP assessor, he is committed todelivering high quality, sustainable homes through meticulous detailing andtechnical excellence.

An experienced registered Architect in private practice since 1998, prior to which Kenneth worked for a number of practices in Ireland and the UK. Kenneth is dedicated to an inclusive design process and the production of high-quality, distinctive and appropriate buildings. He represents a wide spectrum of talent and experience covering the fields of Architecture, Conservation, Construction Management and Energy Efficient Design. Kenenth sees his role as Architect and Design Team leader, not only as the producer of finished buildings, but as an active listener, participant and facilitator in a client-focused design process. Architecture lead and founder at PLACE & Urbanism and experienced in the design and delivery of integrated, multi-disciplinary design solutions across housing, education, sports and amenity and masterplanning projects, in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Michael Carroll MRIAI, Director at Ailtirí Architects has over 25 years’ experience in Architecture and the construction industry. Having completed a qualification in Architecture Technology in 1995, Michael worked for several architectural practices in Dublin gaining experience in both large-scale mixed-use residential/office/retail developments and the smaller domestic market. In 2013, Michael obtained RIBA qualification from Oxford Brookes University with became a member of the RIAI in 2014. Michael holds RIAI Accreditation as Conservation Architect Grade III and Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP). Michael has gained extensive experience in the design and delivery of high-quality architecture with a full understanding and appreciation of the technical requirements to deliver on time and in line with budgetary constraints. As director of Ailtirí Architects, Michael is dedicated to the delivery of high-quality projects with particular emphasis on quality, energy conservation and attention to detail.

Paraic graduated from Technological University of Dublin in 2019. He gained experience working with Dublin based, Davey and Smith Architects working on large residential projects and Carlow based, Robert Quinn Construction Ltd. working on pharmaceutical projects before joining Ailtiri Architects in 2022.
Paraic is a registered Architect with PSDP accreditation. He has a keen interest in detailed design and has worked on healthcare, fit-out, educational and residential projects at Ailtiri.

Sinead joined the practice in 2018, having previously worked in the financial sector. Sinead acts as the first point of contact for the practice and her role involves liaising with directors, clients, subconsultants and supporting her colleagues within the practice. She is involved in the running of the studios internal systems and management as well as developing the business through public procurement. Sinead works closely with the directors on a day to day basis.

Anthony was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Technology in 2006 from South East Technical University (formerly Waterford Institute of Technology). He worked for several years in Cork as an architectural technician with Reddy Architecture before returning to study after a break from the industry. In 2014, while studying he commenced work with Ailtirí Architects as an architectural technician (formerly Kenneth Hennessy Architects Ltd). In 2019, he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) from SETU and joined the practice full-time as a Graduate Architect. He was promoted to Design Team lead thereafter and is now a registered Architect with the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (MRIAI).
Anthony has over a decade of experience working on small and medium scale projects. These include residential, educational, hopsitality, commercial and civic. As Project Architect, he is coordinating design teams, currently overseeing the full range of architecture and design service, with particular emphasis on quality and attention to detail across all stages.

Gautham graduated with a degree in Sustainable Building Design from UCD in 2020. He joined Ailtirí Architects in 2023 and is currently working on a range of educational and housing projects.
Prior to joining Ailtirí, Gautham worked at Joe Fallon Design for three years, gaining considerable experience in managing all aspects of the design and planning process for domestic projects.
Gautham has a keen interest in sustainability and is also an accredited Home Performance Index assessor.

Rachel completed her Bachelors of Architecture in University College Cork in 2024 and joined Ailtirf Architects in July 2024 as an Architectural Assistant Part I. She is currently on a year-out from her studies gaining practical experience and will return to University to complete her Masters in 2025.
Prior to joining Ailtirí Architects, Rachel gained experience with Henry J Lyons in Cork, where she worked on a variety of projects ranging from domestic scale to large scale commercial developments.

Paul Cody is an experienced Architectural Technologist who joined Ailtirí Architects in 2018. Paul is a key member of staff with particular interest in the technological & detailing phases of each project.

Davin completed his studies at the South East Technological University in Waterford, graduating in 2018, and joined Ailtirí Architects in 2023 as a Part 2 Graduate Architect.
Prior to joining Ailtirí Architects, Davin worked for a small, residential-focused practice, where he gained extensive knowledge in all areas of the creation of new-build dwellings, and major renovation and extension projects.
In the office, Davin continues to develop his interest in creating client-specific design solutions by primarily working on private residential projects. In addition to this, he is also involved in several public housing projects for various county councils.

Antonia is a registered architect who brings to the Ailtiri Architecture team a diverse, international architecture career having spent many years working in Australia.
Antonia’s experience covers a range of project typologies and scales including multi residential, private residential, community and healthcare. As an experienced project architect, Antonia has delivered several projects from inception to completion with a keen eye for design and an understanding of construction.
Antonia has a strong interest in residential architecture and using good design to enrich the way people live and interact with their homes. With an honest approach to materiality and an interest in pushing what can be achieved with limited space and budget, she brings a unique approach to residential projects within the practice, and while private residential projects are her main area of interest, she is expanding her experience to include conservation, social and community projects.
Antonia’s approach and belief is to build strong working relationships to enable effective collaboration, good communication and positive outcomes.
